Dr. (Mrs) Modupe Akindele-Odumosu
First and foremost a child of God, called to mentor both the young and the old. Blessed to be a teacher of God’s Word, an ordained Pastor rightly dividing the Word of truth and also an ordained reverend. I have been in ministry for over 25 years, serving in different offices such as Head of Training and Manpower, Head of choir and music, Administrator of Church school, Youth church pioneering Pastor, Young person’s church pioneering pastor and Coordinator of Pastors and Ministers Council.
I now run my own ministry, the Nuggets of Hope Ministries, which is registered by the Churches in Community International. I am a qualified bereavement and general counsellor holding a diploma in theology (with chaplaincy options)by way of ministerial training and a diploma in bereavement counselling, offering Christian bereavement counselling under my brand name Hopeside Counselling. I am a volunteer in two prison outreach ministries, offering bereavement counselling on a volunteer basis within prisons alongside prison chaplains. I am the co-ordinator of the Special Needs arm and Safeguarding Lead of a Christian charity, and a member of the board of trustees of the same charity. I am also the chairman board of trustees of another Christian organisation.
In my secular life I have been a medical doctor for over 45 years, looking after the future generation – our children! In other words, I am a Consultant Community Paediatrician with decades of experience in diagnosing and looking after children with special abilities with special interests in ADHD, autism and Safeguarding. I was the Named doctor for Safeguarding, and Designated doctor for Looked after children in one of the London boroughs.
I re-married after a period of 25 years of widowhood, a medical school classmate of mine, Dr Oladapo Odumosu, as ordained by God. Between us we are blessed with 8 young adults, 7 grandchildren, and the eighth on the way.
My other interests are dancing, singing, and fashion.
